This is an exercise in narrative sound design and music composition inspired by Mystery Flesh Pit National Park a story set inside of a mega organism deep underground. I used a photo of the gift shop from the website as inspiration and imagined what a “store closing” announcement might sound like in this place. I then wrote and recorded some old “ 80s mall music” and then recorded the announcement as I imagined it. I got some old cat purring sounds and slowed them down for the distant heart beat and used some of my previous MFPNP sounds i made eariler to build up an ambience layer. I then put it all together and ended up with a pretty nostalgic piece of “found footage”
